  Sprinkler system and field mowing

  August 19th I got a hold of MKB Lawn Care. I told him I was interested in having a sprinkler system put in. He came over that day. measured the property and gave me an estimate of $4,000. My property is a little less than a quarter of an acre. He called me back the next day and said he did the math and it would now cost $6,200. That did include hydroseed. That was definitely on the high side but within the upper limits of a high offer including the hydroseed. He started working the soil weeks later and called again and said that he would have to rent a excavator because of the large boulders in my yard and the price was now $7800.  I told him no thank you I would settle with him now. He said  he would see what he could do to bring the price down and called me back stating a price of $6800 for the sprinkler system and hydroseed. And would get started in a couple weeks. He kept putting me off and fitting me in between his other projects. He finally finished my job on September 14th. I also had a lot behind my property that I purchased and asked him to cut down and kill the weeds. He quoted me a price of $260. $200 to mow and kill the weeds and $60 to haul the clippings away. He presented me with for $315. Weed killer wasn't included in his quote and he charged me for blowing off my side walks. Which he never did. They were left cover with dirt and rocks.When he finished the job he presented me with a bill for $6,800 plus another $1,800 for preparing the soil for the sprinkler system. When I told him that should have been included in his price of the sprinkler system he said no that was a separate bill. A sprinkler system for less than a quarter of an acre cost me $9088.20. He also said that did not include the hydroseed but that he gave me the bill without that. Anthony is not only terribly unorganized. I feel he is dishonest. He did not have time to give me a written estimate and I foolishly did not press him for one. Also I had to correct him as he had placed my sprinkler heads several feet onto neighboring property. When I told him about the sprinkler heads he told me he had just eyeballed it. I did the plum line for him and marked where the sprinkler head should be placed. He is definitely not professional. I would never recommend Anthony to anyone. The job he did on my sprinkler system is mediocre. The ground is far from smooth. He did not ask me where I wanted the control box and put on the outside of my house in my patio area. It is an eyesore. He did not finish the killing of the weeds in my back lot. When I called him and told him that his employee had run out of weed killer and never finished the job he said well he would have to charge me for more weed killer. He never did the job completely in the first place and had No intention of finishing it. He also had a small amount of topsoil brought in not nearly enough to cover even the front yard and didn't even use that. I am not happy at all with his work ethic, his ever changing prices and severe lack of honest communication. And to top it off, the expensive excavator he charged me for never ran into any boulders....

  Would never hesitant to have Anthony do any sort of yard work for us. Highly recommend him to handle your landscaping needs whether it's mowing , sprinkler system maintenance or general yard needs. Very pleased with his prompt and courteous manner.
