Modern Construction renovated my master bathroom in the Fall of 2014 through January 2015. It was a $30k+ job. It is unquestionably the worst contractor experience I have ever had. The job was started in October and was estimated at 3-5 weeks. We agreed to a 3-4 week delay when he suggested a change in a cabinet. The job was not completed until January. The contractor did not order materials he needed for the next phase until he was finished with the prior phase, thus shutting the job down for weeks at a time. Since the work was finished, I have had floor tiles come lose and wallboard seams crack from improper taping. At the time of the estimate, I asked the contractor if he needed to install a different exhaust fan or even a second exhaust fan since the shower size and openness were being increased. He assured me that the existing fan was fine. I had significant problems with sweating walls. I ended up having another contractor install a second exhaust fan and then had the bathroom repainted. I only wish someone had told me to use a different contractor. I would have been eternally grateful to them.
