This contractor was incredibly difficult to work with and was hostile and disrespectful to me and my interior designer on numerous occasions. He changed the layout of my kitchen cabinets in my remodel without my consent, including that of my air conditioner entry into the kitchen, as well as other details changes that he would not communicate with me about until after he had completed them or he would not honor my expressed wishes about design, layout or placement (such as the handles and pulls on my cabinets, etc).. He also charged me for things that I expressly (orally and in writing) told him not to do, which he went ahead and did, such as blowing insulation throughout my entire home, cutting holes at eye height throughout the outside walls of nearly every room in my house, damaging the walls and the paint and texture. When confronted about this, he lied and said he was giving this insulation work to me as a "freeby." But when I had to have a lawyers help to get his invoices, he had charged me for all of the work that he had done against my wishes among other disreputable things (such as charging me for his own food and drink, etc). This is one among many problems I had with this contractor. He also overran his original timeline by months, and at the end especially he wasn't responding to my requests or emails, even though I was unable to live outside of my home while he delayed the project. Check out my complaint that was accepted by the BBB. I have been working with contractors for 13 years and have completely remodeled my entire home dozens of contractors and professionals, and I previously never had any dishonesty or lack of respect and communication as I had with this builder.
