    Window Installation
    $10,000

    I had windows installed.
    The project took a little longer than normal but that was due to the window manufacture (supply issues, COVID. Y'all lived through it) and not Mountain View.
    Scott was very responsive answering any questions and worked around my schedule (I work rotating nights and days 12 hour shifts) for the install.
    Salvador was the main person for the install and super nice guy, he would call to let me know what time he would be there and if he was going to be early or late I would get a call.
    Again can't say how much I appreciate the work ethic and professionalism of Mountain View and all the people involved with my window installation.

    Annual HVAC Inspection

    system checked in May prior to the weather getting hot. I had a technician review it and tell me it needed some services, which I agreed to. Another technician went to the site and then proceeded to tell me that the whole system needed to be replaced. He proceeded to unscrew an important component and left the site without telling anyone what he did. When he called me to have me agree to replace the less than 10 year old system, I told him I needed to contact the warranty company because it was under warranty.

    As a result of him unplugging the system the way he did and leaving it powered on, and not telling the inhabitants to leave the AC off - it permanently damaged the system. I contacted my warranty company and they sent a second company to do a second optinion. Upon inspection from that company, they noted that the damage appeared to be intentional. I notified Mountain view immediately and was given the run around for almost two months. The issue was escalated to a manager that refused to take my calls or the calls from the other HVAC company who was trying to get someone out there to show them the damage that had been done by their technician. I tried for weeks and weeks to get help with no avail.

    This company not only damaged my unit, voided my warranty, made empty promises and did not come through with repairing the system, they wasted my time, pointed fingers and were completely unprofessional. I gave them until JULY to resolve the issue to any level of satisfaction - even escalating it to the new manager who said they would talk to the owner. I NEVER got a call back. By July the heat was unbearable and unsafe. I had to hire another company to fix the issue. I will NEVER use this company again. Buyer beware. They are unreliable, terrible at communicating and will try to upsell you with a new system, when you don't really need one.

    Siding

    I contacted Scott Reardon of Mountain View Corporation for siding. He initially was responsive and he even came to my house to look at my siding. He gave me a general estimate with a text message. I asked for an actual estimate to be emailed and he said he would send it. He never did. I left him several phone and text messages and he wouldn't return any of them. At one point his voicemail box was said to be full but he still wouldn't return any text messages. He obviously had no interest in doing my house but he could have just said so. I ended up signing a contract with Northern Lights Exteriors to side my entire house with Hardie siding. They were responsive and they came highly recommended so I hope works out well.
