Do not believe his estimates of time nor materials!!! I needed stones spread for my backyard landscape. Gustavo Gonzales came to my home. I showed him the area I wanted covered. He told me I would need three 18 ton truckloads of stones, that he would provide a skid-steer to help move the stones, since they couldn't be dropped really close to where needed. He stated that that it would take 4-5 guys 4-5 hours to get the job done. He quoted an hourly rate for the workers, plus another amount for the skid-steer. I agreed to his terms, ordered the stones and had them delivered. On the scheduled day, he showed up with a crew of 6, and no skid-steer. He supervised them for an hour, then left. Work slowed whenever he wasn't there. There was an area of the yard that I told him not to cover. He failed to pass that info along to his crew. They put several wheel barrows of stone there before I noticed and stopped them. They finished the rest of the job in 6 hours, with a crew of 6, for 36 man-hours, instead of the 16-25 he estimated. Then he tried to bill be for 7 hours each, or 42 man hours. And, it turns our he way overestimated how much stone I needed. I have about 7 tons of stone blocking my driveway. So, I paid a lot more for labor than expected. I paid a lot more for stone than needed. And I don't have full access to my driveway. I highly recommend you find someone else for your landscaping project!!!
