  If I knew then what I know now, I would have NEVER hired Nest Remodeling to remodel my basement kitchen and bathroom!
  The general contractor of Nest Remodeling, Matt Shin told me that he would complete the project to my satisfaction in 3 to 4 weeks. IT TOOK him 4 MONTHS! Not because of my lack of responsiveness or because of supply chain issues. I was rushed to make decisions that were not my first choice to comply with Matt’s urgency to get my project done, only to have him take 4 months anyway!
  Matt said: “Trust me. I will tell you what is needed at each step.” He did not do that! He did not advise me; his communications were extremely poor; often his crew did not know what to do next based upon Matt’s communication.
  Before starting my project, he promised to cover the furnishing in the living room area. That was done after asking him three times, well after the project had started. His delay in doing so resulted in additional cleaning of dust, paint, and spackle in places that should not have been affected. At the end of the workday, the work area was left with partially emptied personal water bottles and lunch trash which made my space inhabitable during the four months.
  Matt did not provide me with accurate information about products needed for my project resulting in me having to make repeated purchases and returns. Several of my own specifications and choices were unmet because of Matt’s unavailability to advise me.
  The only times Matt came to my property was to collect his payment. I paid him promptly when asked. Four times he came on site; his stay was brief, not more than 10 minutes to quickly “check” his crew’s work. Prior to receiving his final payment Matt did not show me the final costs of my project. To this day, I have no idea of actual costs. Based upon his contract, cost overruns were nearly $1,500 more than budgeted. His fee for managing the project should be refunded to me since I was the one who managed the project—I took measurements; I contacted the cabinet people; I contacted suppliers directly.
  I believe my project could have been completed earlier, had Matt assigned an employee to manage the project while he was away on two vacation trips! Seeing that no work had been done in weeks, I reached out to Matt. He sent me a picture of himself at an art gallery in Italy along with a text promising to check on my project upon his return. That promise was not kept. Feeling that Matt had abandoned my project, I contacted Home Advisor to get assistance. After that call, Matt contacted me to tell me that he was away again (this time to Korea) but would send his second-in-charge to assess the project. When this individual came to my project, he had no idea of anything related to my project and could not say what were the next steps. He promised to leave his contact information which he did not!
  
  On the day his crew finally finished the project, Matt continued to rush me by asking to be paid right then on the spot, attempting to deny me an opportunity to review the work just completed.
  I would have had the unforeseen additional costs of hotel and restaurant expenses had it not been for the charity of family who allowed me to stay in their home throughout the remodeling.
  Matt demonstrated little, to no concern for my time, my space, my project, my property, my convenience, or my money. I truly felt disrespected by him; unheard and unacknowledged!
  The only positive I can offer from this disastrous experience is that the tile crew led by Jose did an excellent job laying the tile.
  Matt did not perform as a professional; he was not honest; and he was not respectful to me as a paying customer. I cannot in good faith recommend Matt Shin of Nest Remodeling as a home remodeling “professional”. Because of these reasons, I give Matt Shin, general contractor of Nest Remodeling a NEGATIVE review. I recommend that Home Advisor do a better job in vetting its recommended listing.

  These guys are top-notch. everything, from start to finish. Hong came to our house twice to help us choose the right supplies for the kitchen. The installers arrived within a few weeks and performed a fantastic job. They took their time and were meticulous in their work. The cost was astronomical. For kitchen and bathroom remodels, I will happily refer all of my friends to Nest remodeling llc. They'll be put to use later on, I hope. It's a perfect 5 stars! Fantastic Job!

  My husband and I used Nest remodeling for our kitchen and powder bath remodel and we had a fantastic experience with the entire team. Nest is a full service, all in one, remodeling company. They're with you every step of the way from design and material selection to renovation. Every member of their team was professional, detail oriented, and took pride in their work. They do all the work themselves except for specialty contractors (electrician) and demolition. Price wise Nest remodeling was on the higher end of the quotes we initially received but for the quality and experience, it was money well spent! Thank you Hong, Matt, Anthony, Tammy, Jessie, Kelly and everyone else!

  Kitchen Remodeling

  I love the team of Nest Remodeling. We chatted with them each morning when they arrived each morning and felt comfortable having them in our home. At the end of each day the kitchen was spotless and livable. The quality of products and the quality of service that Nest Remodeling provided was exceptional. We are so pleased with the work done from start to finish and absolutely will bring them back for future projects! Great service and great prices!

They were on time for their appointment, and made quite a few helpful suggestions while they were here. They answered all of our questions and seemed like they'd be very easy to communicate with on a longer project.

I don’t think we would have been able to do this without the help of matt, our designer at nest remodeling. When the work began we were able to talk to Hong, our project manager, every step of the way. He was totally on top of the job and answered very one of our questions.   Matt, my contractor, contacted me within several minutes of adding my project and continued to do so until everything was finished. We talked about what work I needed to have done so he could make sure he had all materials needed to complete the job. He showed up on time and continued communicating everything he was doing. The end result was a beautifully installed kitchen sink. He took his time making sure everything was perfect.

  MASTER BATHROOM : Great workmanship very detailed, helped us thru the whole project, went with us to pick out tile and vanity, without a doubt the best contractor who ever had worked for us. Very dependable and trustworthy. The job looked so great we decided to do the guess bathroom also. Hong is one special person.

I am extremely satisfied with their work. It is very high quality workmanship with no unexpected surprises. They delivered on their promises and were amazingly easy to work with.
