Hiring Walter and his team for our (fence, sliding gates and a pedestrian gate) project was a massive disappointment. We initially hired them to start the project on September 7 and complete it by September 16, but by *November 8th*, only maybe 30% of the work was done. Deadlines were constantly moved and consistently missed for a number of random reasons, and their workmanship was subpar--cracked metal brackets, a cracked wooden post, and a shaky fence portion that wouldn't have lasted very long.
It was impossible to get a clear completion date from Walter, even though we emphasized how critical this fence was for our family. Our house is on a busy street and have small children, making the delays even more frustrating. Eventually, we had to ask Walter and his team to stop the work entirely so we could hire another company to re-do the job so we could move in sooner.
To make matters worse, Walter collected a deposit of $9,550 upfront before starting work or buying materials. After reviewing his own contract language, I realized this is actually against the law. I feel deceived and taken advantage of. Overall, this experience has been stressful, costly, and far below any reasonable expectations. I wouldn't recommend this company.
Update: Walter took back all of his materials (that we paid for) and has yet to pay us back any amount of money.
