  My experience just like all the others before me was terrible. Matt painted black trim all over my house with the wrong paint and it’s peeling/chipping all over. I had to cal from a different number because he wouldn’t pick up my calls, he said he would come by after he “gets back in town” but has never followed up. Won’t answer my calls yet again. He posted an add on Craigslist two days ago with the active license number 1013501 SIR painting.

  I do not want to leave any stars. My paint is thin and really bare in spots. Matt didn’t finish the job at all. Matt doesn’t answer any calls. He left lights down. Broke my garage door windows. I had to have them replaced. He took 2000.$ over charge of my money. I sent money through Zelle and I told Matt as he was sitting with me that the Zelle app would be depositing on Tuesday. He said he needed the money now and that he had something very important that he was going to do. I sent him another 1000.$ through Venmo and he would return the money that Zelle would be giving him Tuesday. He never did come back. I tried to stop the Zelle payment but the bank couldn’t reverse the charge. He even left windows taped up on the 2nd story.

  Painting

  Horrible experience.
  Promised to have our house painted by a move in deadline. He then took our deposit and proceeded to only show up to dismantle our cabinets and then did not return. He stopped returning texts or calls. We fired him and now our left with a mess. He is a horrible person to not be trusted. He is a liar and a con artist.

  Painting inside and outside a house

  I usually do not write reviews. But I found it necessary to write a review about this SHADY contractor. First, he violated the contract law by charging me more than 10% deposit. His contract failed to state the start and completion date which is also a violation of contract law. Matthew told me he would be on the job on Thursday, February 27. He did not show up on Thursday and refused to answer my calls. Finally he called me back after three days and said he will start on Monday March 2. He came in for one day and painted some of the baseboards and doors and then left. He got paint all over the house and left my house in a huge mess. I have been trying to get hold of him for over a week and he keeps refusing to answer his calls, text messages, or emails. He has my deposit of $1,800 and has not done much to show for it.
  I am in process of filing a firmal complaint with contractor's license board. DO NO TRUST THIS GUY. HE IS A SMOOTH TALKER BUT A DISHONEST AND FRAUDULANT CONTRACTOR. Review his license background on contractor's license board. Again Do not hire Matthew Vernon Greenfield with Nor-Cal Painting and Restoration. Contractor's license #940161.

  neighbors chose Nor-Cal for house & fence painting

  Do Not Hire – Shady Company – Not Honest
  Our neighbors chose Nor-Cal painting based cost and reputation that Matt the owner had. I will agree that the house looks good now that it has been repainted, however I can’t say the same for our Spa Pool Umbrella! The painting crew were spray-painting the good neighbor fence and sprayed the umbrella. At no time did they ask us to move it or try to cover it up. We did bring this to this their attention, their suggestion was to try and clean it. That did not work and the crew left workout letting us know they were done with the job. We advised our neighbors and within an hour Matt was at our front door to apologize along with an offer to pay for a new umbrella fabric. That was on June 14 and we are still waiting on payment. Sent about half a dozen emails to follow up as well as a phone calls. Got a couple of responses initially to confirm he would pay, but nothing as of today! Tired of waiting. We have well documented emails and audio with video indicating Matt would pay for their mistake but unfortunately Matt has not paid. We will pursue small claims as it’s a very easy straight forward process.

  Pay $88.68 to replace the ruined umbrella fabric as he promised in several emails and our doorbell camera recorded his interaction agreeing to pay for it.
