We contracted with Northwest Docks in October of 2017 to build a dock for our home in Spring of 2018. As of today, we have no dock and are having trouble getting our deposit back. Jim Guy at Northwest Docks does not return phone calls and is very slow to answer email, if at all. It has been so frustrating, we decided in late June to give up and look for someone else to build. We could not get an installation date, and instead he told us how very busy he was; however we paid a deposit in October to HOLD a space in early Spring. I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau and are getting ready to file a law suite against Northwest Docks. I wish I had chosen one of the other bids I received in September 2017! Still no refund of our deposit.

Jim Guy is a con man. He contracted to build a dock of 23 slips that involved diving work which he had no expertise in. We agreed to proceed with the project based on his bid. He built the dock for which he was paid for but didn't install the piles which required diving. He was able to get out of the contract due to a minor technicality with an error in the underwater survey. We offered to cover any additional costs that resulted (very minimal). He demanded double the price to finish the job under a new contract. When we tried to hold him to the original contract he lawyered up and skipped town. Totally unreliable.
