I worked with Lewis Herms and would not recommend him. I feel so strongly about him and Outdoor Everything, that you can email me at [email protected] and I would be more than happy to go into details. I hired him through Angi, which I don't recommend either, to replace my driveway and finish a medium sized landscape (hardscape) project that was abandoned by the original contractor. Lewis's team did a good job replacing the driveway, so I was comfortable hiring him to complete the landscape project. He talks a good game, but doesn't do anything or deliver. (I think Angi tries to hold its contractor's accountable so they are forced to respond to you and say the right things to appease you). The project was pretty straight forward for a pro, but Lewis was clearly in over his head. I found him to be incompetent. He didn't have or provide a plan, he didn't provide any oversight of his crew, his crew was unprofessional (joking when talking serious work issues), unethical (concealed damage and lied). Most of the work is poor quality (wall caps had to be replaced), planter drains were not properly prepared and were covered with dirt, tile installed on a water feature has bulges and is uneven. After agreeing with most of my concerns, he made up an excuse to walk away from the project, leaving my project in worse shape than when he started. I would avoid him and Angi. Again, please reach out if you would like to discuss as I'm happy to help you avoid the time and money lost that dealing with this guy cost me.
