Pat J. Cosgrove
We hired Mr. Cosgrove to remodel our bathroom. The estimate was for $3,500.00 which was paid in full. We paid for the fixtures and appliances ourselves. When job was done it was an additional $1,500.00. He stated that the job would be 5 days. It took over 25 hours. We were displaced from our home. When we moved back into our home the plaster job was terrible, paint job was terrible, nothing was put in properly. The fan does not work correctly, the outlets are not in correct and there is paint all over everything. On the brushed nickle shower curtain rod, everywhere. Plus, he had people in and out of our house, using all of my husbands tools and breaking them. Not asking. Left everything a complete mess. We had a storm and our windows were leaking. I thought that it was from the fan. I called him. He came over and it was the windows up above. We paid him to fix the damage to the bathroom and he said he wanted to make me happy. He put up the wood trim that my husband took the time to paint and then decided to paint. So the white trim now has the tan pain all over it. There was plaster dust all over the linen closet and medicine closet. He did a very terrible job. Paint is on every thing in that bathroom, including the mini blinds and curtains. I really trusted him from the way he talked. THE WORST THING WAS THAT HE WOULD SAY HE WAS GOING TO BE THERE AT A CERTAIN TIME AND BECAUSE I WAS NOT LIVING AT THE HOME NEVER WOULD BE THERE. MY MOM AND STEP DAD WOULD GO UP AND HE WOULD NOT BE THERE AT ALL THAT DAY! I also asked him for a copy of the estimate and he offered to elevate the estimate to make money from the insurance company. When I asked him for a fair estimate he said he would not give me one for none of the work. Alls I want is an estimate for what we paid him for our records. Why is it so hard to find a contractor to trust. We are willing to pay and work with them.
