Started off fine. Kept feeding him ,money. Came to the job to check it out with 20% of the money left. Left a punchlist with half the money. He promised to be back on the Monday after I left the check (that Saturday). He came took the check, cashed it and took all the materials off the job and got real nasty. He didn't like the punchlist and decided it wasn't worth it to finish the job, he had his money I guess. Now I have to get another contractor to finish the job, fix his poor work, and I can't rent the property until it is done. Never again. Stay far away from this guy. I've been in the construction business for over 30 years and was not asking for anything extraordinary. The only thing I did wrong was pay him before he completed work. He will always hound you for payment so he stays ahead of you. Stay very far away!

In the business for 35 years, 34 my own business, word of mouth contractor, never had the need to advertise because the requests for work exceeded the need to do so. Never asked anyone to "please give me a good review" so my word of mouth reputation never brought me to advertise. I, unfortunately experienced someone who thought they could get blood out of a stone. When I started doing a couple extras he requested after the contract was signed, it started to get excessive which is why I requested the amount that would settle the work I already did. If anyone suspects that someone would pay 90% for the work already done and pay because it's done poor and would have to be redone is crazier than the guy who is pushing this BS. I came across this crap and thought those that read it deserve to hear from the other side of this story. I didn't stay in business for 34 years ripping anyone off, in fact, those that know me, hire me and trust me in their homes, know that this comment is from a disgruntled customer who could not play me because he was holding the balance over my head to finish the job he want done for the amount he wanted to pay. Unfortunately the contract only reflected a portion of the work. As he stated in his own words "it started out fine" and so was the work, problem was his attitude and his thoughts of manipulation that backfired on him because of him not me. Projection is a popular MO these days and this guy is suffering terribly from it.
