  Beware! We were having problems with a leaking metal roof. So we called Genes Roofing & Insulation. They came out and looked at the roof. He said the screws in the roof needed to be replaced. The rubber washers on the screws where cracked and that was causing the leaks. We agreed for them to do the job and they said they would come, when they had some down time. We plainly told them to call beforehand. So we could be there. A few weeks had passed and to our surprise, one of his workers where on top of our metal roof. It was pouring rain. He was replacing the old screws. They didn't call! He also showed up without a ladder. So he borrowed one from our neighbors. Who goes to a roofing job without a ladder? My g/f went ahead and paid the worker. Bad mistake on our part! After looking around the yard after it had stopped raining he had thrown all the old screws in the yard and all down in the gutters. I went around the yard and picked up around two or three hundred screws! I also picked up his 24 oz. beer can at the edge of the woods; he had somehow forgotten to take with him!?!? So, a few months went by and we started to notice severe leaking in several places, inside the building. So my girl friend called them back. He said they would return once the rain had stopped. Once it stopped they never came. We called them three or four times, over a three to four week period. Then it was supposed to rain again. I couldn't figure out if they replaced them in the rain before why couldn't they come look at it then? So, I climbed up on the roof. To my surprise he had forgot to put screws back and the water was flooding in the open holes. Also, he had not removed the old screws rubber washers! He had left them and replaced new screws on top of the old washers. Which I had thought was the problem to start with. So, I called him and told him I thought he owed us half our money back and I thought he had taken advantage of my girlfriend. The whole time on the phone, he wouldn't stop talking long enough to let me explain, the problem. Finally he said he didn't have time for this and hung up on me. In this whole process all they did was take money from a single mother that works two jobs and we are still left with a mess too worry about! Lesson learned! Beware!
