My husband and I have debated writing this review for some time. We purchased a home on a very tight budget using an FHA 203K loan. We needed to have a roof replaced on a home the home as well as some kitchen improvements. The home had been empty for almost two years at the time of purchase but was in relatively good shape. The roof repairs were started two weeks after we closed on the house and Chuck received his first payment. I took pictures of the house the day before the work was to start so that I could show friends and family our before and after shots of our first home. I arrived at the home the day that the roof work was being completed and found an entire crew of men just hurling pieces of old shingles off of my house in every direction. They draped a tarp over one of my awnings that subsequently crushed one side of the awning causing it to droop severely. (I have pictures of this taking place). I wasn't terribly worried because these guys are supposed to be professionals. I went into the house to drop off a cabinet. At this point, the only things we had moved in were my husband's stereo so that he could have music while pulling up carpet, three cases of expensive wine, and a cabinet. I came back two days later in the evening to drop off a box only to discover that not only was the stereo and wine missing, but so was all the copper pipe in the basement. I immediately called the police and Chuck to report this. I immediately left the interior of the house because I did not want to disturb a crime scene. The police searched the house and concluded that there was no sign of forced entry anywhere in the home. How did our home sit empty for two years with no issues and the day we get a new roof on, suddenly the house is robbed and no one forced entry? We moved past that because after contacting the bank, we found out that we were stuck with this contract due to the financing of our home. After we dealt with a million and one other little problems (ask me because I have a huge list), we were ready to be done. Chuck was not finished with the entire job and was telling us he would have the gutter and awning fixed but he wanted to get his final payment. We agreed in good faith (huge mistake) so that maybe it would hurry him along in fixing the issues. Well, MANY emails and MANY texts later where he promises to show up, and these things are still not fixed. We are now paying a reputable company to fix these problems and STILL cleaning up pieces of our old roof. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! You will regret it. Don't believe me? I will happily show you every text and email and all of the pictures we have detailing the issues. There is zero excuse that I still have a broken gutter and awning after they broke it!
