As I am a senior in the time of Covid please read my review about this vendor for Nicor Gas..
When you receive a notice from Pipe Strong for a Nicor meter replacement, call to have Nicor give you another vendor for this service. The main tech Jeffery Shamblin was the rudest insulting individual that could have come to my house to do the service. Not only did he without cause, demand to come into my home PRIOR to the work done, but when allowed entrance, made ridicule of my home and seemed to be casing the house for its situation by stopping in each room to see where it was in relation to his planning for some odd reason. Not following me to where my furnace is as expected. He was so bold, it was extremely hard to get him out of my house before the work was to be started. He wanted to go through my house looking around at what was in the house. I had to literally had to tell him to get out. Remember, this was before the work was even started.
AFTER the work was completed they loaded up and were leaving without turning the gas back on. I asked as they left about the gas being turned on, they said some would be out, they were on their way, 10 minutes.
10 phone calls and 3 hours later a very nice NICOR operator said they will be out but she wasn't sure of time.
When I called Pipe Strong, And talking to MATT WELTY, the attorney and phone receptionist for Pipe Strong, as how he introduced himself, he told by no means will they do anything for your house. Call Nicor.....................
it took 5 hours before Nicor had my service back on. At least Nicor people were nice. Bad choice of vendors with this one.As it goes with PIPE STRONG. Never let them work on your house.
why did PIPE STRONG need to scout out the entirety inside of my house BEFORE they did any work? Even the Nicor techs were confused.

Horrible company!!!! Came to my home with NO appt!! They were not allowed on my property!! They went to the window of my 2 year old son's bedroom and loudly said how they were about to wake up my home!!!! And started pounding away on my home at 730 am!!
