Pool Craft is a scam. They took our money and never delivered on the contract. We lost almost $10,000. As newcomers to the Atlanta area and people who had never built a pool we felt they took terrible advantage of us. We should have known better given several red flags in the process. They were very aggressive in asking for our deposit and yet were terrible communicators the rest of the time. They delivered an excavator to our yard three times and three times removed it with no communication, causing damage to our yard and giving us problems with the County permit office. Eventually they stopped responding completely when they moved on to another project. Do not use this company!

Do not hire this company. Like many other reviews here, Jimmy scammed me out of $140,000. The work was left not done, Jimmy stopped returning phone calls and emails, there is no place to leave a voicemail with the company. I am left with an enormous project that I need to hire a different professional to finish, but Poolcraft collected most of the money upfront. Do your due diligence, do not make the mistake I made, this company is led by a rip off artist.

I don't know where to begin. Every step working with this company is stressful and unprofessional. I will hit the highlights:
1. No drawing of the project
2. Constant stream of misinformation regarding the permit
3. No showing almost every time they told me they're coming
4. Cannot communicate with anyone in the company. The workers only speak Spanish and the management doesn't answer calls.
5. Wrong color glass tile - owner told me the one I selected was discontinued and he chose a different color for me.
6. Wrong color 6x6 tile
7. Project is now 13 months old and the contract states 3 months
8. Owner adds charges whenever he sees fit and doesn't complete the work unless extra charges are paid. You feel like a hostage right after signing the contract with this company.
9. Left materials for other jobs on my property
10. Dumped all the trash (a huge pile) on my driveway and left it there for over 9 months.
11. Left trash on the street and didn't pick up until my neighbors complained
12. No drawing for decking or outdoor kitchen. They just take money and don't discuss any design.
13. Ran out of 6x6 tile so removed tiles from the skimmer and reused. In the process they cracked the tiles and installed anyway with the cracks.
14. Sent owner multiple messages over several months regarding water loss from the pool without any response. Finally, I paid for a company to look and they found several huge defects that are leaking
15. After leak identified at my cost, it took.Pool Craft several weeks to send someone out and they still haven't fixed the problem.
16. Failed electrical inspection 5 times. I asked the owner and he told me he's not responsible for the electrical. How can he not be responsible when I signed the contract with him.
17. Company is only interested in reaching the milestone for the next payment. Beware of the 4th payment - the milestone is paver install. The owner will dump the tile in your driveway and demand payment. From the time the pavers were delivered to the time they were installed was over 3 months. If he gets your money, you won't see workers for a while.
18. Total disrespect for the customer. Won't answer emails, texts or phone calls. They play good cop/bad cop and make you believe that someone actually cares, but nobody in this company cares.
19. Everything is subcontracted out and there is nobody from pool craft who actually came on a regular basis to inspect the workmanship. Their subcontractors just send photos at the end of the day.
20. The workers will do anything to get done - they will leave broken pipes, disregard safety issues, and hide defects so that they get out and complete the job on the timeline the owner set.
21. Many of their workers told me through google translate that all their jobs are like this - complete disasters.
22. The inspector (after th 3rd failed inspection and no one from the company there to discuss with him the problem) called the company "Pool CRAP"
23. To fix the leak, the repair company had to remove the coping tile. Pool Craft has not repaired the coping tile and it's been over a month.
24. Cement splatter everywhere
25. Constantly picking up lunch trash, coke cans from where his workers left there waste.
26. Caught his mason peeing in my poolThere are many more things I could list here, but I think you get the idea. DO NOT HIRE POOL CRAFT.

Think of the worst experience you can have building a pool and it would be Pool Craft. The owner Jimmy Acosta is a scam artist. He will cheat you out of money like he did me and not complete the work. Pool craft did not do the electrical bonding for my pool and covered it up with concrete before it could be inspected by the county. Luckily the county caught it! They have done at least 5 that way in Cobb County and the inspection department has suspended their ability to obtain permits or get inspections because of it. Jimmy has been told the problems have to be fixed before he can proceed with any new work. The issues were discovered in August and it is now December and he has yet to correct any of the problems with any of the builds. He ignores texts and emails. He is a liar and a thief. Better do your due diligence before you hire this company. Most of the good reviews you find for Pool Craft are fake and your experience will quite the opposite. If you are still considering using him just ask him for names and phone numbers of past clients and once you verify they are actual clients….ask to go look at his work. I wish I had done that and wish I had known what a crook he was before I signed a contract with him.

By Daniel C.December 7, 2021Build a swimming pool$100,000
We hired Pool Craft and its owner to build a pool for our new home. After raising the price twice during construction, they never finished the project despite being paid in full. There were broken pipes, machinery that was installed incorrectly and lighting and wiring that was not installed. He is totally dishonest, does not stand behind his work product and will not return your phone calls.

Awesome people. Awesome results. Awesome experiance.
Cant say enough we love our new pool / backyard by Poocraft.
All of my friends and family are using them this next year. They build our first Pool back in North Carolina, we are business owners as well (Restaurants) and we call PoolCraft even through they were here in GA. We loved the design PoolCraft did for us, Jim is a easy going individual, we are very excited to get to signed up with PoolCraft again but now here in our new Home in Georgia.Great team to do business with.

Pool turned out really well and just as I expected. The permit process was generally very well done. Customer communication could be improved, but all in all, I'd recommend Poolbuilders to anyone.
They are a professional company that don't sub contract out any of the build.
Their on-site guys, especially my supervisor Elmer , did an excellent job - after reading other reviews, I was indecisive but so far, so good. -
By Shannon C.September 30, 2021
All of these reviews are spot on. Jimmi won’t respond. They will take your money and not fulfill their contract. They don’t even know what county inspections are supposed to happen. They try to bypass inspections, which is entirely unsafe and against the contract as well as county code. Don’t waste your time or money with this company.

Great finish up on time very professional

By Jacqueline Q.July 13, 2021
Learned a big expensive lesson here. Just as a prior reviewer stated, we now have a lien on our property because even though we paid in full the day we got the invoice, they never paid the concrete supplier. Now we are left in a tangled mess.

Totally incompetent, unorganized, unprofessional, unresponsive, complete rip off. Do not use this company right now I have a lien on my property because even though they over charged us over $10,000 they also did not pay a subcontractor

BEWARE. Be very wary of this company. Jimmy Acosta (aka Jimmy Cerni) and Pool Craft (aka Artizan Designs Pools) will not complete work, not take calls, and leave you with an expensive mess. Do a thorough background check and do not under any circumstance, pay them in advance. He appears very nice and when he is trying to sell you a pool, you will feel very comfortable. Once you pay, they start work but slowly stop showing up but never finish their work and you are left with an incomplete project check their license and insurance papers!!!!!

The owner of this company, Jimmi Acosta, is a LIAR with a capital L. Do not give him one penny of your money. He lies about the schedule and equipment and all of his employees are liars as well. Elmer, Jocelyn and Teamy will lie right to your face. The quality of work is terrible and we have paid thousands of dollars to fix it. The owner will pull a bait and switch on you and try to squeeze more money out of you at the end. He never finishes any pools but takes all of your money. DO NOT do business with Pool Craft or his new company GEORGIA PEACH POOLS. Jimmy also used to own Artizan pools. Look for the reviews. He closes down one pool company and opens another under a different name. Save yourself the heartache and lost money. Do not do business with this man or any of his companies.
