Nothing in particular to say about the firm Prado Homes who are attentive and professional, however, they often work together with the architect Alvaro Rodriguez, and this is what I will emphasize. Alvaro Rodriguez, AIA NCARB, Florida license AR 95835. This person is professionally lazy, arrogant and disrespectful. I contacted him to request a set of plans and documents to permit extensions and improvements I want to do on my property. The only time he came to my home did a barely review of aspects of the project that I proposed to do, he just briefly reviewed the existing plans that another architect had already prepared previously and verbally sets the amount he wanted for his services. Not a binding document at all. Issue that raises the red flag, Mr. Alvaro Rodriguez emphatically refuses to sign a contract.. In this project the only thing he did was copy the electronic portfolio in pdf format that I sent by email, this portfolio had been previously prepared by the aforementioned architect. He did not make a measurement on the property, did not review the structural condition of the residence and he took not even a single image. Alvaro did not provide a simple and creative idea for the project. He just limits its action to follow the suggestions that I gave, so I had to send pictures and sketches and also had to go to his home three times to check the drawings with him. Other issues highlighted in his professional behavior is the personal communication, telephone and electronically, although initially it was fluid, he later became a bad example with his petulance, arrogance and lack of respect and consideration for his client. He has tried to limit our relationship to what he wants to do, ignoring my request to show the project's final design before printing and stamp. Another issue to note is that Mr. Alvaro had changed in three different occasions the verbal agreement that was established for their services, saying that I had changed aspects of the initial project, which is not true, just never give due attention to my initial needs I would not recommend anyone to hire this architect.
