  Precise Roofing did not install the shingles correctly. I had them install impact resistant shingles and high wind. 140 mph rating. We had a 50-60 mph winds and a few shingles came off. I got on the roof and notice the shingles were not installed correctly. Standard over lap is with 6” of tab exposed. I have a lot is areas that are only 4”. This causes the shingles not to seal down properly cause them to blow off. The step over on the shingle rows is only 3”. The package suggests 10” and minimum of 6”. The ridge vent is not secured very well I can lift up sections of it. I have been trying to get him to fix the roof for 6 months now. He is total ignoring me. Had to fix the shingles that blew off myself. I am one very unhappy person. Don’t even think about using this company. He is not a pro. Paid extra for the better shingles and they are junk because of the installer. They are life time shingles but because they were installed incorrectly that voids the warranty.

  Purchased a house after it was re-roofed just a couple months before by Precise roofing. The paperwork in the sale said there was previous water in the basement but was cause by a bad roof and gutter job in the past. Day one in the new place after placing all our memories and boxes in the basement for storage there was water in the basement. All summer long gallon after gallon of rain water. I contacted the owner who sounded like he truly wanted to make things right. Mostly felt this way because he said "I want to make this right. It doesn't matter if I roofed this for you or the previous owner I want my work done right." Well after months of contacting him he finally told me to call his gutter subcontractor Apex directly. I did and after months of attempting to get them to come out I finally called Precise back who six months ago said he would take care of it once and for all. This story has no happy ending. Don't use this company. They hire out terrible subcontractors and don't bother to stand behind their word to make sure it's done right. Still have water in the basement like its raining directly inside the basement because the gutters are so unlevel rain just pours right into the window wells and surrounding foundation causing an overwhelming amount of issues and loss of our things that we can never recover. Never been more disappointed in a company.
