    I had to do a septic-to-sewer conversion, where the septic was in front of the house and the sewer in back of the house which meant the plumbing had to be turned 180 degrees and required some street excavation since there was no stub-out for the sewer to the house. Sean provided an estimate that was very competitive as well as a detailed description of what work would be done including the decomissioning of my septic tank. Once I accepted their bid, the work began the next day and was finished within 4 days. It probably would have been faster but for a minor delay in some city paperwork. Members of the work crew gave me updates as work progressed, and I was only without toilet facilities for less than 2 hours through the whole project.

    Unclog blocked sewer line

    I want to share our experience in the hopes of warning others about this company. This past Monday night, we discovered that we had a clogged sewer line backing up into our downstairs shower, a problem we've had in the past. Our regular sewer guy, who's successfully snaked this problem before, wasn't available until Wednesday. Determined to get someone in sooner than that, I found this company on Angi. They contacted me very quickly and assured me they could get out to my house the next morning. The technician, "Will", arrived as promised, early the next day. He was pleasant enough and went to work on the clog. He spent a total of 5 minutes snaking the drain before telling us that he would have to call in his supervisor, who had the camera scope. The supervisor, "Sean", who identified himself as the Project Manager arrived. He hooked up the camera scope and showed me where he says a past repair had degraded in the pipe, leaving a "lip" where things were getting hung up. He then proceeded to show me the clog itself, which the snake hadn't been successful in clearing (after only 5 minutes of work) and said his camera was unable to get past this spot. He told us that they would locate where the clog was in the line and then write up a proposal for the repair that was necessary. Five minutes later he announced that they'd found the clog, which was (conveniently) located under concrete, that they would have to jackhammer through that, dig down 7 feet, repair the pipe, put in an exterior cleanout, fill and replace the concrete. For this, he quoted us $9,916.99, with tax. Nevermind that we knew the pipe couldn't be 7 feet down because the root cause of this issue with our sewer clog is the low fall the pipe has thanks to previous owners who did a DIY bathroom remodel in our finished basement years ago. We declined because the price was insane but also because we were pretty sure from prior experience that the clog could be cleared by snaking. We paid them $425, with tax, for the privilege of them doing absolutely NOTHING. Afterwards, we called our regular guy (Greenlake Sewer & Drain - HIGHLY recommended, by the way), explained that PriCor was claiming the clog required a $10k repair, and he promised to get out there the following day. When he arrived, it took him and one other guy about 15 minutes to clear the clog, with just a snake and a little elbow grease. He told us that we should be suspect of any company that doesn't share a camera scope on a thumb drive, which was never offered to us by PriCor. I am really angry about the whole experience with this company and feel completely taken advantage of. It's pretty clear that they're not in this business to help people but to hustle desperate homeowners for unnecessary repairs.
