Dear customer, if you ever need an AC unit or any kind of repair DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You will regret it since the very first day. Whatever you have read into the other reviews, everything is TRUE. This company managed by Charles Richardson, visited my property for an AC situation through Choice Home Warranty due to cooling needs and he mentioned to me that I had a really bad leak and that home warranty would not covered. Probably true but now, after reading all reviews, I am wondering if the problem was really that major or if could have been easily repaired. A new Central unit was put in my property during the last week of January 2021. During installation seen by two neighbors, a technician dropped my unit two or three steps down in the stairs. However, after a call, Charles claimed that unit have no damages and that it will be replaced if something was going wrong. During the entire process communication was BEAUTIFULLLLLL, supported messages, constants calls and follow ups. Equipment was installed and everything was fine according to Charles. This is a vacation home so I do not live in there. A month later, I visited the home. Just exactly the last week of February 2021 to find that central unit was not cooling. To make story short, I have called this man millions of times, sent him several texts and we are going to day # 11 and still nobody has showed to review or repair the equipment. One day he sent a technician that showed 1 hour and 15 minutes later than the scheduled time to find no one in the property because it is impossible to ask people to wait indefinitely. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. This is what they do, they get the money of the installation and forced you with their bad customer services and never show, to find somebody else and you will lose your warranty labor. If you think that you lose by giving out your labor warranty, YOU ARE WRONG. You are better off from this company. Charles claimed that he is a veteran from the military and he is a joke. What embarrassment for the forces, this man. He shouldn't even mention that he ever was from the military before. He has been telling me by text because after 11 days he has just picked the calls two times. Everything else has been managed through one text in the morning every other day stating that somebody will show this afternoon and never can give you an appointment. Do not even engage with this company. You are going to lose your money.

By SmNovember 20, 2018The General Contractor Hired him to fix my A/C$1,600
Very Shady!! I still do not know if his name is Charles or not. He put a Coil on my unit that wasn't needed, didn't replace the heater as required, and told me that I would need a condenser soon. Charged me $1900 I questioned him, he "discounted" it down to $1600. Then when I turned the unit off and it wouldn't come back on, he was going to charge me $900 for a part!! A friend that is an A/C guy checked it out and said I was being SCAMMED!! "Charles" wouldn't talk to my friend, he refused!! My friend turned on a 'switch" that Charles had turned off to the main unit!! Not only was he going to charge me $900 plus labor, in addition to saying a surge went through my house and he didn't know how much it would end up costing.
It was 85 degrees in my house to sleep in!!!! Karma will take care of his type of crook!!!!

Had them come out and check my unit and got screwed over charged me and my unit it still not working. The trick told me that he would come back out and work on it again but I think I will pass. He got me once and he sure as hell will not get me again. Beware this company it is a joke.

We used jem air in Stuart/ports saint lucie/ palm beach county 7723804723 or 5613662584. They are somehow affiliated with the bigger 1-800# center. The one we used also returned calls from a 954 area code which is Fort Lauderdale area. The technician who came out and told me I needed to replace my unit and gave me a quote has never returned. Once I called the company and said I wanted to move forward they sent another tech who left the job half done to never return. After calling for a week now, they sent a third tech that said he can't do anything about it, and that the tech who began the job should finish it! Are these just a bunch of subcontractors?!!! The unit looks defective, has loud metal on metal noises when trying to run. Save yourself a big headache and money by calling a reputable AC guy. Run from this scamming company!

By AnonymousAugust 13, 2014A/C Install$Too much2 daysAvoid this shady company!
Run away as fast as you can!!!! They advertise best price guarantee and then they say they will match or beat a competitors quote with a fast talking slick salesman who come to your house and will verbally agree to anything and confirm it. What they don't tell you is when they go to install it, they are not giving you the same systems as agreed upon. No professionalism whatsoever. They do NOT stand up to their advertisings and very poor customer performance. Just try to get a call back.

Dear Customer, As a humane, I have to recognize that when we are frustrated our most deepest emotions (ANGER) domain our control. We are very easy to express when things go wrong and I include myself in that pile. But we most express also, what is RIGHT. And I have to add the very right that happens to me from this R5 Direct AC company. After my agony for 10 days I come to the conclusion that this company works as an emergency company. I could not understand how an AC technician wants to come to your home in the night instead of in the day time but it is because they work around the clock. Date 11, my tenant texted me at 7pm that a AC technician was in the door to check the unit. The technician checked the unit inside of the condo and it was perfectly fine. Then he got in the roof and also the unit was fine. The condos have an electrical box inside the condo and also another main box that feed the breakers of the inside. My box was broken. Not sure if anybody knows but changing an electrical box could be between $500-600 or whatever an electrician wants to charge you. This issue did not have nothing to do with my central unit but the guy asked for permission to replace my breakers and volaaa my tenant was pleased to have AC again. The following day I received a call from the manager Charles Richardson. He explained all the issues and asked only for me to cover the two hours the technician was in my property for $125 that in minutes he decided not to accept and the job was for free. I will continue to use this company and definitely will recommend them to everybody. The waiting it is not the best friend of desperation but definitely we all need to believe in second chances. So I will give them a 5 start.
