Owner
Rainguard Roofing was working on a neighbor's house and I asked for a quote for a small shingle repair. The guys were nice who I interacted with so I moved forward with them.
No written estimate was provided for the work. The price seemed high but a full roof inspection was included in the price. The guys who did the job completed the work without safety equipment in about 20 minutes and I got a $425 invoice a few days later. They never provided any information about the state of my roof from the full inspection that was promised.
The back office didn't itemize any expenses of the job. I had to walk them through how itemized invoices work to get details on exactly how 20 minutes of work with no inspection feedback came out to $425. Staff in the office struggled with writing, spelling, and grammar. After telling them that I would need a roof report before I paid the invoice, they sent a veiled threat to send their guys back to my house unannounced about payment. I eventually got a slapdash roof inspection "report" of about 40 words.
Despite their field employees being nice guys, I don't recommend Rainguard Roofing for these reasons--opaque pricing, no physical estimate provided, no safety equipment used by roofers while on my house, veiled threats for payment without delivering the basics, and absolutely no feedback until I pulled it out of them. Steer clear until they can get their house in order.
