This contractor was brought in to stain and refinish our floors in our 1940's cottage. We travel a lot and were on a time crunch. They told us on that it would be far more expensive than other standard floors because they suspected that the type of finish would require a large number of sanding pads, but that they would lower the price if it wasn't the case. They were the only people who could do it in the time period we needed. They did the floors while we were away and when we came back they were not the right color. They re-did them and made them only a little darker, and then said that was all they could do. They called my husband overseas in the middle of the night and insisted on full payment there and then. They left all their trash in my front yard, and they also didn't finish the floors under the kitchen appliances. When we discovered this when we came home from travel, we called and the response was very rude, stating that they considered the job done, and they would charge us to come out to fix the work they didn't finish. They said they would come back and look at it, and just didnt bother showing up, despite us taking time off work to wait for them. They do not return follow up phone calls. I am extremely shocked at the quality of the work and their customer service. I would recommend that anyone stays well clear of these folks. They are extremely over priced and do bad workmanship.

We needed our wood floors redone. They came in and did exactly what they said they would do, finished it on time, and left with everything as clean as I could hope for. We then had them do other work and it has always been completed as we asked, on time, and left neat. I would recommend them any time.

My experience with Ratcliff Flooring started good but ended terribly. My beautiful Hickory floors look awful. Cooney told me he would come to fix them and I never saw or heard from him again. Currently looking for someone that can fix them.
