  I don’t normally like writing reviews, but at this point a bit at a loss and want to make sure others avoid the experience we’ve had with Razyr’s Edge.

  Matt’s a nice enough guy, responsive, and I’m sure doing his best. But his best isn’t good enough. Here’s just a handful of the issues we had with him and this company:

  1. He took a half-down deposit and then ghosted us for more than a month. No contact. Literally left us wondering if we were out nearly $20k.
  2. After we were finally able to get back in touch, he told us he’d start within a week as another job wrapped up. Nearly two months later he started what was to be a ~2 week job, but took 3-4x that long.
  3. He installed two fence gates for us. Altogether ~2k. Both were installed poorly, have fallen off of the supports, and can’t be swung opened or closed without lifting the bottom of the gate. He’s either dismissed the issues, blamed us, or been completely unresponsive as we’ve asked questions. The one response we got from him just said “No warranty, wind damages fences”.
  4. The water access box in the front yard was installed with a hose bib. Only the box is literally touching the bib head at an angle, so you can’t use it. Zero response.
  5. They did not install weed barrier under the mulch of the planters, even though it was on the estimate, so we’re stuck raking up the mulch, laying weed barrier, and re-setting the mulch.

  And a few other less significant things, but examples of a lack of attention to detail or craftsmanship in the work:

  - Multiple sprinklers were sloppily and lazily installed with wrong heads, pointing the wrong direction, or inconsistent placement resulting in multiple dry and uneven dead spots.
  - One retaining wall had to be completely redone, another sloppily finished, none had the toppers we originally agreed on.
  - He did about 32 sq ft of concrete for us. Discolored, mess against the house, uneven and rough install. Fine enough job, but would not trust him with any more.
  - He inexplicably used 4 different types of gravel in different areas. Maybe not a huge deal for most, but I’m a bit OCD and like things to match and it drives me crazy.

  We’ve messaged him multiple times this summer with no response. Decided to post the review today because I ran into multiple of these issues doing yard work this morning.

  Please skip Razyr’s Edge or at least make sure he’s started before giving a deposit, and everything is *perfect* before paying the rest. I’m sure there are worse out there, but there are definitely better.
