I hired Reikko Builders to build an ADU on my property in Roseville. Paid him in August 2024 for engineering and plans. Paid him for Permits plus an extra $5000 towards project on 12/4/24 when we signed contract. Work began in March and April 2025. I paid in advance for each stage of construction until Invoice 10 when I requested validation of add-on charges. I made this request because he had added on charges for items that were not required by the building dept. and items I had said I did not want done, but were done anyway. He also rebilled me for School Fees that I had paid in March 2025. On September 17th Andre quit after a tantrum in my front yard. This was contracted to be a 4 month project, in June he said it would be done in July, in July he said it would be done in September. In addition, there were thousands of dollars added to the project due to building department requirements that we could have avoided if Andre had known the building/fire code for Roseville. He then put the permit on hold and is refusing to transfer the permit to me so I can get the ADU completed. There are many more issues related to this project.
