BEWARE: 50-DAY+ Bathroom Remodel Inoperable & Unsafe
UNACCEPTABLE & VERY DISSATISFIED! Grand Prairie and surrounding areas, I would NOT RECOMMEND Jeffery (Jeff) Resendez and his team for your master bathroom remodeling project. EXPECT verbal payment due dates, random monetary requests throughout the project WITHOUT notice, NO final-walk through (customer review), and ABSOLUTELY NO responsibility for incompletion/deficiency of the final project.
I first found Jeff Resendez while researching handymen via nextdoor.com to complete a small home project (window tint) and came across his profile and positive reviews. After reading the reviews I contacted him for the project, and within a couple of weeks, it was complete. While completing the window tint, I noticed he listed remodeling on his business card, and he showed me a few pictures of bathroom projects. At that time I was on the market for a contractor to hire for the remodeling of my master bathroom.
September 2020, Jeff Resendez provided a master bathroom remodel estimate (included: shower, tub, and floor tiling) which covered the removal of old material and the installation of the new. Due to the vagueness of the estimate, Jeff came out a second time to provide clarification around what was included and what I needed to provide for the project to begin. I purchased ALL material unaware that Jeff had limitations working with certain types of materials.
December 2020, demolition of the shower, floor, and bathtub began after providing a 35% deposit. Throughout the project, we consistently communicated with Jeff around the bathroom design for which he was open and stated that he wanted to be sure that the project was done to our liking and stood 100% behind his work. A week into the project Jeff informed me that he would be done within a week, and ready for the final walk-through and payment. Finishing one day earlier, and leaving the remodeled areas wet, Jeff insisted on receiving the final payment without the final walk-through. Verbally agreeing to come back to correct deficiencies after the bathroom dried and I completed the final walk-through without him being present. The following day, and several days after Jeff was contacted, and NO response. 35 days have passed since the final payment was received, multiple calls, voicemails, text, and emails left, and still NO response from Jeff. UNACCEPTABLE & VERY DISSATISFIED!
