The design engineer/owner/designer is working part time only and not really observing the actual construction, he only inspects the construction at the end of his shift in his primary job. Most of the time the design never been followed and the project come out disaster. In my experience with this group I received and an estimate signed and approved, but when their construction was ready to start a change order was added to the estimate even they were not starting the project yet. At the end, I was over charged. Also, I was given 3 week schedule to finish the project, but because they had other multiple projects the work was stop and end up finishing the project 5 weeks. Also, the works that were agreed was not done properly probably because they were trying to save more money on their side. The foreman is also working part time with primary job outside, so there were only 2 persons working on the job (carpenters). This construction group is still new in this job and just building experience so I notice also that they do not know how to resolve the problem at the site. They create problems, but they are having a hard time to decide what to do.
