    Ryan Geary took our money and quit an unfinished job.

    I should have trusted my gut when his bills/bids were typed out on a Word Doc with ZERO details, sq footage, linear footage. He never took notes and his bid didn't provide any detail (ex "Custom Cabinets White Oak $9850". No sizing, soft close, measurements, hardware, built in electrical outlets etc).

    Because of this I started saving every security camera video of our meetings and conversations in case we had to reference back what was ACTUALLY discussed.

    Every time I'd ask him NORMAL questions (ex "Can I see a sample of the wood for the vanity? Can I see the carpenter's sketch of the vanity? Can I see pictures of the carpenter's work?) he'd make excuses and then argue with me...at one point he said "you just need to let me do my job". Am I the ONLY homeowner who would want to see what their $9850 custom vanity is going to look like? I've never had this problem with my projects in the past? Contractors and carpenters are HAPPY to show pictures of their work and won't start custom cabinetry until the client signs off on the wood finish/drawing etc.

    I just found out today that the $4,000 deposit we paid on Sept 9th to start vanity fabrication HASN'T EVEN STARTED.

    We also paid him for an agreed upon amount for HVAC work (I have saved video footage of this conversation/agreement) and he's claiming we still owe him MORE money. This too is unfinished AND not to code.

    We've paid him for electrical that is unfinished. The list goes on and on.

    Such disgusting behavior.
