    Home builders

Overall it has been a terrible experience with Riverside Homebuilders. Closing on our home was pushed back months at a time. This was after we had to sell our home to be contingent on buying theirs. They had zero sympathy or care that multiple families in Sanger Meadows were homeless for months. Here we are now, coming up on 2 years in this home and the warranty punch list still isn’t complete. I have taken weeks off of work to meet up with their unorganized contractors. Most of the time they never show up, plan on waisting all of your PTO if you don’t work from home. When they actually come to fix something they can’t complete the job and have to come back. They have also damaged other parts of our home in the process. I told Tyler I would be taking the month of August off and we could complete the entire punch list then. He agreed and that was our plan. He closed out all of my opened items and nothing got scheduled, waisting the entire month I took off. We have a leaking window in the master bedroom causing water damage/ mold and it doesn’t seem like they care to fix it.

Stay away from Riverside Homebuilders! Closing was delayed multiple times, always at the last-minute costing us thousands. With material and labor shortages, I understand delays, but the failure of the team to manage the project effectively and communicate those delays was unacceptable. The least they could have done is make sure things were done properly when they did have the resources. The quality of work was terrible, and many things needed to be corrected. We have items that were pointed out at the time we went into contract and 3 months after living there they are not taken care of. We had a long list of items on the punch list from the walk throughs, but unfortunately closed knowing it was going to be cheaper to fix it ourselves than to continue living in a hotel. Our first water bill was over $500, so I'm still working on that… Now we are 3 months into living in our Riverside home and can’t even get mail delivered because Riverside failed to put up a community mailbox that meets the USPS guidelines. Overall problems after problems with no adequate solutions and no clear or timely communication, save yourself from the headache and purchase with someone else.

    Build a Home

Terrible service. Best to find a different builder. Had way too many issues with them and they do not care about your home buying experience. They will just take your deposit and move on to the next customer if you back out. And they literally will tell you that, because they are currently enjoying a seller’s market. If I had to do it again, I would have not bought from them. Terrible customer service and they take your feedback but do nothing with it to fix themselves. Have heard from new neighbors that they too have had a nightmare experience. Take your hard-earned money and find a builder that will work with you and create a positive home buying experience. They don't proactively check their builders work. We walked in to a mess on our first walk through and was a battle to get things fixed. You don't need to spend your hard earned money with a builder who does not care about you as a customer.

Bought a new build in North DFW. During the initial walkthrough, I pointed out PAGES of things that needed to be fixed. Came up to see the progress through the week and there was never anyone up here and none of the stuff that was pointed out were fixed. By the final walkthrough there was still probably 95% of the list that wasn't fixed. Some things the builder admitted may have to be fixed after I closed. Closed on the house and still had a list of issues. When emailing the builder/rep, I was essentially told that it wasn't their problem anymore, and I needed to go through the warranty company. Submitted all my issues to the warranty company and due to covid they said they weren't performing any warranty repairs. It's absolutely infuriating that literally EVERYTHING I pointed out that needed fixed was just sat on until they could pass it off to the warranty company.

We bought a home in Summerlin in Nevada, TX. After about 6 months we started to notice that the walls around our shower were starting to get soft and change colors. We contacted the builders before our warranty expired and they said it was just from splashing the water from shower door and repainted. The home warranty department is confrontational and does the least amount possible to correct issues. After more than 3 years we are having to rip out our bathroom. The lazy tile company didn’t grout the bottom side of an accent piece that is about 12” off the bottom of the shower floor all the way around the shower. So water has penetrated through and completely saturated our wood studs and insulation. They installed the bare minimum of green rock in wet areas. A lot of regular Sheetrock in these wet areas. We thought it had a rubber shower pan but after demo it’s just a form with a wonder board and it has nail holes all in the rubber sides holding it together with no sealant over the nails. They used brown painters caulk inside the shower at the corners. No sealant on the shower glass mounting screws. Mold now everywhere. Completely unacceptable install on the shower area. Water proofing should be the most important in a shower. I would not recommend this builder.

I bought a home in the Innisbrook community. The home is built with quality materials, but the quality of craftsmanship does not match. The builder I dealt with was shady and completely lacked transparency. The home warranty department is confrontational and does the least amount possible. I would not recommend this builder, take your business to someone who deserves it.
