To start this was the worst experience. Let me repeat the WORST experience. From the first day they started they broke our fence and our neighbors. Every step of the way was an issue. They poured the coping without getting the inspection done from the city so when the city came out to do the inspection they failed it and made them tear up the coping which they then blamed on the city because they could of just passed them. When they came to remove the coping they cut through our pool, left sold cement chunks just laying at the bottom of our pool. They them sprayed cement all over the back of our house, fence and firepit chairs. I called and finally complained and the then VP came to our house in Dec (project started in Oct) sat in our living room and listened to our frustrations. I told him I was ready for them to come grab the pool, fill in the hole and we could discuss the fixing the of the yard that’s how frustrating this experience was to that point. He made us promises of tile in the pool and lavish Christmas baskets and that we would be top priority as soon as the weather improved. We were hesitant, but what can you do? We had no power. We had pain them all the money except the remaining $5k. So we waited and waited. Warmer temps came and no pool people. After SEVERAL calls and texts we finally got a response. A project that should of taken 90 days took almost 8 and even then all the work wasn’t completed nor were the damages to our home repaired. My husband had to get into our freezing pool to retrieve the huge heavy chunks of cement and by doing so noticed several scratches on the bottom. We even have small cement splatters that we step on that we can’t remove. They pawned off several things to our landscapers like adding the drain, leveling the remaining filler gravel they left dumped in the driveway. Due to their initial lack of leveling and placement of the pool we had to remove the edging around our deck, lift our whole backyard grade and add a 2ft retaining wall around the whole exterior and add 4’x40’ of additional turf to prevent draining issues. They setup days and times to come and then no shows. They would then show up unannounced and go into the backyard and let our dogs out and not say a word to us. After bringing all these issues up and demanded a finishing date (remind you it was suppose to be 90 days) I was told due to our location our pool was a inconvenience to them. They never came to clean off the back of our house nor our other property. We had it powerwashed and now have holes in our stucco. The cement never came off our chairs. They did however come fix our fence and the neighbors. After demanding pool school the week of Memorial Day 2023 we noticed some of our pool equipment leaking. I called to bring this to their attention and no calls were returned UNTIL they came looking for the remainder payment which was not just the 5K, but was increased almost 3k for things they never reviewed with us or approved with us. I explained that we still had issues due to the leaking, draining, damage to property and additional costs on our behalf due to them not putting the pool in the right spot and not leveling it correctly to avoid the retaining wall all and additional turf. They also handed off the final grading and drain to our landscaper because they didn’t want to come finish. So when they asked for final payment and we discussed our issues they offered to knock $300 off for the stucco and that if I paid them in full they would put me on the spring schedule to repair the leaking issue. I expressed that that did not sit well with me due to their lack of response in finishing our pool and their lack of concern for the personal damage and additional costs accrued because of them and of the unapproved additional charges. They then requested pictures and proof. At the time we were out of town and were for a few weeks. We do our out of state marketing during the winter. I explained this to her and reminded her of all of the grace we had shown her company over the last 8 months and asked that she showed us the same due to our winter traveling. Well that went on def ears and they are taking us to small claims. I never planned on leaving a review of our experience because I thought it was just our pool and we were just the unlucky ones where everything goes wrong, but now I know we aren’t the only ones. And then to try and sue us when our damages exceed the remaining 5K was just too much after all we had to deal with. If you are wanting a pool DO NOT be blinded by this company and their false promises. I would of paid double what we paid them to have had a good experience. Even when it was all done it still took me almost the whole summer to enjoy it because of all the hassle and disregard for our project.
