If I could give a lower rating of one star I would. R L Dillon and Sons built our home 10 years ago. In those 10 years we have had numerous problems with the quality of the building with the roof. As of today 12/6/2015 our roof is again giving us problems. We have had the ridge vents fly off on two sections of the roof. The plywood has lifted on the garage roof and as of today the plywood is lifting in the front of the house roof and we have a leak around the chimney. None of this should be happening of a house only 10 years old. When we built we put very heavy architectural asphalt shingle on thinking we would never need to replace our roof in our life time. We are retired. We have called and no return calls. We had to have other contractors do the repairs. They do not stand behind their work. They do not answer phone calls after many left messages. I write this review in hopes of helping other people not have these problems. My husband is a bricklayer by trade and has worked in the industrial construction industry for over 45 years. We know what we are talking about the work was very poor on the roof of our house. We had other problems but have been able to fix them all ourselves. So my rating is actually below 1 star.

Rick Dillon is a fraudulent contractor. He took large draws of money and did not complete any work in our new construction. My sister, who also used this contractor, concomitantly, is living in a home that is unsafe, poorly built, and dangerous for her 1 year old child to live in.
Rick barely completes any work himself and hires subcontractors. Work completed by him and his son in the house was shotty — including nailing pocket doors into the walls, punctured dry wall, spilled stain and paint on brand new floors and concrete.
We are now getting calls from subcontractors stating that he has not paid them. Rick goes on vacation after every single draw. Please, PLEASE avoid this contractor at all cost. Avoid a lawsuit like we are in.
Building a home should be a positive experience and working with RL Dillon & Sons is nothing short of a nightmare.
