    Solar
    $33,000

Everything sounded and looked so good at the beginning. Great reviews, conversations regarding customer service, design etc. Customer service always appears great when things go right. This company has showed what their true customer service is.

Save your time and money and hire a true craftsman. Someone who knows and applies proper construction standards and business ethics. Mike did a hack job on my solar system. According to CSLB which is public information, he has no employees therefore he hires any warm body he can to do the solar install work. This was verified to me when speaking with his dad. He does not carry workers comp insurance either according to the CSLB. That may or may not be alarming to someone with workers on their roof that reek of marijuana.

    - Day of install his 2 workers showed up reeking of marijuana
    - His workers didnt have a ladder so i had to provide one
    - Commenced work (installed my solar system) without paying for the permit (violation) therefore a permit was never approved. Spoke with Tulare County Permit dept. about this. I paid him well in advance for the permit and plans

    Multiple conditions of Substandard work.

    - Drilled multiple holes through roof with no railing/panel supports AND did not properly seal the holes. I stuck my finger in one of the holes and touched roof sheathing. Railings and panels were sagging severely. I found this after they "completed" and left the job. His response was that they were short of materials from the start.
    - Railing/panel support lags installed directly through the roof sheathing. All lags should be installed through the center of rafters for proper wind/load support
    - Substandard spacing of supports in some areas. Check your manufacturers specs.
    - Exposed railings and supports. See note above and pictures
    - Multiple areas of scratched and scraped panels from mishandling and sawzall use. I bought the material outright and had the material in my garage. Everything was in perfect condition prior to install.
    - Did not install the system in an aesthically pleasing symmetrical layout. Failed miserably. Multiple emails and conversations prior to install this was specifically addressed due to the system being installed on the front of my house facing the street. Mike apologized and agreed to move the system to the left and buy 2 more panels & 2 more inverters to try and fix the symmetry but has since abandoned ALL communication.
    - Wiring hanging below a panel and rubbing on the roof
    - I am now left with an abandoned system on my roof that has no permits, no de-rated breaker, no plans, no single line drawing, and no NEM 2 application with the deadline approaching

These are just some of the details. I am leaving out some crucial details that will be provided to the CSLB, CPUC and his Contractors Bond. I told him i didnt want to go this route but he is giving me no choice at this point.

Ive tried over and over to create a dialogue with Mike to get the system finished with no luck. Mike responded with "invoice is due by 2/27 in it's entirely or you will be in breach of contract" and "Theres nothing more to discuss until you decide to pay".

Im no lawyer but that seems borderline extortion to me. Pay me or im not going to finish the work. Mind you i have offered to pay half now and the remaining half after the job is finished but thats not acceptable for him.

I advise anybody who has gotten solar by Mike to get on their roof and go in your attic to check over the work. Or just wait for something to fail and it wont be covered by the manufacturer due to substandard application by installer and he will not respond to emails and/or phone calls. At this point Mike has refused to answer my calls, return calls, and has not responed to my multiple attempts for him to finish the project.

At this point i do not want him or his workers on my property to do any work. He can not be trusted. Companies like this should not be in business.
