  Flipped the house we bought

  Whatever you do, do NOT EVER use Rocky Staley with Bayfront Construction. The workmanship of this mans company is reprehensible. From using warped beams in ceiling, no headers behind kitchen cabinets, rendering them to pull out from wall or fall down from ceiling, using old or recycled mechanical equipment like hot water heaters and regular heaters and telling you they are new to not leveling bathroom sinks to using the wrong bathroom vanity which does not properly fit the bowl...this guy is horrific...please share this so that all of cape may county can be properly warned of this man...

  Never hired ... Never heard back from the contractor even though we replied to his estimate.

  BUYER BEWARE !! …. Do not WASTE your TIME or MONEY dealing with Robert Staley aka “Rocky”. Upon first impressions he portrays himself to be honest, trustworthy and knowledgeable about his trade. We had him stop by our house to give us an estimate on 3-4 different small jobs we needed done. He had been working in our neighborhood, which is how we found out about him. He stopped byon a Thurs night, seemed very nice while he walked around and thru our house to see the 3-4 jobs that we needed done. Now here is when HONESTY would have been appreciated. He could have simply stated that though there were 4 jobs, even in combining them all, they were too small for him to consider providing an estimate for. But NO, Rocky stated he would have the estimate to us by the end of the weekend. Sunday night at 8pm when I still hadn’t received an email from Rocky I called him. He stated he was just working on in and we’d have it in minutes. Yeah right. Well what we received was a very generic estimate on only 2 out of the 4 jobs. So I replied to the initial email estimate stating that we would like an estimate comprised of all 4 jobs, so that we could better budget them getting done. This was another perfect opportunity for Rocky to be honest, but NO, still incapable of showing any signs of that personality trait. We’ve left voice mail messages, I even went so as printing out the email and hand delivering it to his mailbox since he lives close by. But still no return contact from him, my mother suggested we stop by his house when we were sure he would be home. Upon doing so, I was told by his son, that he wasn’t there that he had taken a vacation. So I inquired to when had he left and it was just that morning and when would he be returning, oh most likely tomorrow I was told. Even though by all outside yard appearances it looked like he was home in the middle of doing his own home repairs and had gone into the house for lunch. It’s been over a MONTH now and still NO REPLY from Robert Staley aka “Rocky”. I guess you only get replies from Rocky if you’re looking to spend $$$$$. I can’t quite rap my head around why anyone would trust a contractor with any amount of their well earned money, if that said contractor IS A LIAR, AND CAN’T BE TRUSTED TO EVEN RETURN AN EMAIL OR PHONE CALL. Buyer beware!!
