It's horrible, the shabby work Roberts and Westcott did in my house. The toilets they installed both leak, they charged me for cleaning out downspouts and gutters, but did neither. They were paid for intalling an exterior grade metal door to the basement entrance, but they installed a cheap interior door instead and it is now warped and rotted just 2 years later and wild animals have easily chewed through it. The contract clearly says that exterior grade plywood be used on my garage, they put cheap interior underlayment on it and it has all fallen apart now.
They charged over $500 for cleaning out sewer lines here, yet, before they came here, my basement was dry, now it is flooded every time it rains. The kitchen sink and counter they installed was never level, and leans forward. The bathroom shower walls they put in downstairs, they used caulking that cracked and is discolored.
The kitchen floor they installed, I had to redo and glue down tiles that kept coming off. In the upstairs bathroom, they got the hot and cold connections backwards. On the floor, the tiles are not properly glued in place.
There is even more, I reported it all to Greg Demarest at The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington and he refused to do anything. Although this was through them, and taxpayers funded this, they refused to help me. I EMailed [email protected] and they refused to reply.
I have saved all of the documents, concerning what Roberts and Westcott were paid to do here. They show a clearly that work paid for was not done properly or not done at all. This might be some kind of corruption on the part of all involved, so I have contacted HUD asking they investigate and audit this.
I have no choice, as I did tell Greg Demarest about this and he did absolutely nothing. I'll forward this to the Oberver-Reporter too, hoping they can get some action on this. I'll post this to Facebook, we need to find out what The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington is up to and why my phone calls to them were ignored.
The documents I have are signed by the contractors and Greg Demarest and the amounts for itemized work are there, but $3,100 goes missing and unaccounted for. That is in additiion to the actual work done, but with inferior materials and not the materials the project contract specified.
