  Being new to the area, we hired Bomberger's to refinish our floors based on word of mouth - from our real estate agent primarily. Given the fact that they are an established, family owned business in the area, we felt confident hiring them. Big mistake. What was estimated by the owner to be a 5 day job turned into 12 days, and could likely have gone on for a couple more. The significant increase in time was not that there were any flooring issues discovered once work began, but rather the work ethic of Bomberger's employees who took 2-3 hours of smoke breaks each and every day. When not smoking, their employees spent plenty of time complaining how they had so few hours in the past month. No wonder they wanted to drag our job out even longer. In addition to working only a fraction of the day and lingering in front of our house smoking for so long that the neighbors complained, the employees spilled urethane on our marble floor and had no problem dumping saw dust into our flower beds. When we called to complain, our call was never returned. Now, one month after the invoice was sent, we received a "when are you paying us?" email. Not the customer service we expect from a "family business" in the area.
