We are currently having our pool coping and decking repaired/replaced. Mr Wiskar was the designer.. We discovered today , contrary to the specifications and bid my husband signed, no wire mesh or rebar was installed in any of the concrete work. Not only that, the expansion joints, according to two concrete companies, are too far apart. Roy personally determined where they would be cut.
We are a large property and bought many specimen trees for the property. In the first 3 years, we lost 17 specimens. No cages were put around the root balls to prevent root crawl.
This is all for starters. I could go on and on. We had used Roy before on our small Brentwood property. It was a good experience. On this big build, Roy could not get along with the subs he brought onto the job. It was miserable to the point of having to call a meeting to try to get back on track. The subs were amenable. Roy was not and acted so small.
I've been disappointed in him for the last 17 years and decided to finally say something after this last debacle.

Roy Wiskar helped design our front yard landscape. We ended up with various issues related to his work. He covered freshly poured concrete in plastic which ultimately caused it to be blotchy. On irrigation he used a French drain (rather than drain to the curb) in an area which resulted in flooded areas in periods of heavy rain. There were other problems which demonstrated he lacked the expertise and knowledge to necessary to complete work in a satisfactory manner.
