I highly recommend Rudy Landscape.
We are making our parent’s former home into a rental.
As Mom and Dad declined, the landscape also deteriorated. The property is on a sloped lot. We had covered the parts of the slope without protection from trees with plastic to prevent erosion. That plastic had been in place for several years. The plastic, in turn, required that we turn the sprinklers off. So the lawn was dead or covered with plastic.
What wasn’t covered with plastic was overgrown with weeds.
We contacted at least ten landscape maintenance companies. Few even returned our call. Of the three or four that visited the property, most did not provide a quote and never called again..
They just walked away.
Rudy, however, answered his phone promptly. Rudy visited the property and spent approximately an hour discussing the project and maintenance of the property after repair.
After walking and talking for the better part of an hour, Rudy asked if he could have a moment to make notes. I was very happy to hear this request. Rudy wrote for nearly five minutes, that is not an exaggeration!. After he was satisfied with his notes, he asked if he could read them back to me to make sure everything was covered!!!! None of the others even took notes!
I was VERY impressed with this attention to detail and Rudy’s conscientiousness.
Also and importantly, Rudy is the only one who solved an unusual issue in a way that saved us money. The backyard sprinkler valves were connected to power by an extension cord when in use, and then unplugged when not in use. That obviously could not work for a rental. All the other companies said they’d solve the issue by replacing the valve with a battery powered valve. Rudy said, “Your timer for the front yard is using only three of the four stations available. It’s low voltage, so we can run a wire from here to the timer.” It was genius!!!
Rudy’s price to repair the landscape was fair.
The work performed included:
-removing and disposing of weeds
-removing and disposing of plastic cover
-planting ground cover on the slopes
-installing jute to stabilize the bank until the groundcover fills in
-replacing railroad ties up the rear bank
-evaluating and repairing or replacing sprinkler system components
-reinstalling the lawn
-installing weed barrier fabric and stone around the garage and between the house and garage
Rudy and his crew worked for more than a week, between his other scheduled maintenance jobs to complete the tasks listed above. He did everything we discussed and delivered exactly what he promised.
We’ve gotten compliments on the transformation.
Rudy is now maintaining the landscape and it remains in top condition.
Rudy treats our property as if it was his own. For example, Rudy turned off the sprinklers when rain was forecast. He eradicated a gopher that “moved in” to the beautiful lawn Rudy had recently installed.
After Rudy had finished the rehabilitation of the landscape, the house next door sold. A wall between that property and ours needed to be replaced. The new owner’s contractor replaced the wall. Digging the foundation of the new wall required that some of Rudy’s work be moved away from the property line. I worked out a schedule with the neighbor and informed Rudy. Rudy removed gravel and weed barrier fabric in a way that preserved them and allowed them to be reinstalled after the wall was replaced.
Rudy Landscape is NOT a “mow blow and go” company.
He is a true landscape maintenance professional.
If you are serious about having a beautiful landscape you should allow Rudy to bid on your job.
As always, do your own due diligence. But I believe you’ll find Rudy Landscape is a top contender for your project or maintenance needs.
