Sander Kaplan did two jobs for me. One was the architectural structure for my home in River Forest. His insight into the house 'fitting' among the other homes was beyond reproach. He called for a mixture of quarter sawn oak with glass and metal mixing a sort of frank lloyd Wright with a modern flair all the way down to our green blue glass bathroom floor that housed a ceramic soaking claw foot tub.
He also designed office space for me on the top floor of the garland building overlooking millennium park. His eye for detail such as lining up the glass in the conference door with a birds eye view of the 'bean' was simply amazing. My bathroom had purple stone floors while most of the rest of the office was carpeted wall to in a floral design. It was subtle not to take away the sting female owned law firm he was building. He turned an old dentist office with many small offices into a large reception, storage room, conference room, 3 offices and a bath and shower with closet space. I must say the cream on top was the steel and wood circular counter/receptionist desk he drew and made. The entire front from counter to floor was steel. Sander is absolutely a fabulous architect who listens and works with you and your needs!
