  New roof skylight

  DON"T GO TO DOMINIC !!! I am warning you. Started out good, then starting finding, POOR Lazy work.. 1 of 3 was the flashing around fire place..they bent it all back damaging it and instead of replacing it they tried to bend it back into place, crappy work.. Had to call to point out we were not happy, they came back out a few weeks later and replaced it. They also took three attempts to put in our skylight. First attempt too small tried to "Sell" us on the fact it was correct. Then they showed up a few weeks later with the correct skylight....wrong again... Lastly they showed up months later due to an order supply chain issue. They install the window and used old, pallet wood for the interior finish.... the wood had black mold!!! They came out a week later and replaced the MOLDLY wood. DO NOT GO TO SCARTELLI and his sub contractors that are sub par roofers.

  Do not hire Scartelli Roofing!! I only wish I could post pictures on this site to show how horrible a job Dominic and his "Crew" did. My project was a shingle re-roof and EPDM rubber roof. I paid extra for plywood atop the planking, which was worthless because his crew did not nail the existing loose planking down first and did not nail the plywood down correctly. (We had discussed this prior to work commencing and it was written in the contract which was ignored). They shingled right over the top of nails sticking up, and the shingles have a 4" wave in them. You get sea sick if you look out my second floor window at the shingles. We contracted and I paid in advance for EPDM taper board underlayment, and he "forgot" to order it and told me he could not get the taper board AFTER his crew had removed the old roofing. (because he never even attempted to order it). I now have an EPDM roof with ponding water that has to get ripped off and replaced this spring. Custom bent aluminum over a parapet wall (that was in my contract and an extra charge) was substituted with a cheap piece of drip edge with wood exposed. The EPDM he installed has bulges beneath it from fasteners or dried glue. He never procured a building permit (yet another contract violation), and both the local building inspector and a third party inspector failed the inspections on all the roofing work he did. Un-nailed shingles, incorrect installation, and he installed used shingles that already had nail holes in them!! All the roof gutters he installed are pitched the wrong way, (I would have never believed there were roofers that did not understand the concept of gravity, but if you want gutters that won’t drain Scartelli is your man!)
  In my opinion anyone that has had work completed by Scartelli Roofing should hire a competent third party inspection agency to check the work he has done. If he botched my roof this badly there is a good chance yours was done incorrectly as well.
