Beware! Beware! Beware!
I met Greg Scott twice before he started my bathroom renovation. I gave him the deposit ($4500) on 8/26/20, he cashed it on 8/27/20, & started the job 8/29/20. I acknowledged that he did not work Sundays, because he worked 6 days a week. He returned to my home on 8/31. If he arrived early(9-9:30 am), he left early. Emergencies started coming up where he did not arrive until noon or 1pm. Three times he didn't show or call at all. Once he was asleep-said he had a migraine. The last time he was a no show, I fired him (9/24/20). I saw that I was in trouble his 2nd week here. He was sloppy, inconsistent & inconsiderate of time. By then he had my money so I stayed on him. Almost daily, he had to go to Home Depot for things. My 7x11 ft master bathroom is a wreck and my home is a construction site. My toilet is in my master bedroom which is a dirty, dusty mess. I have no shower or sink in the bathroom. I have a small hole in the wall going up the steps & my bed & bathroom doors are scraped & knicked up. He scraped & dirtied up my patio trunk because he began cutting tiles in the yard. He left grout stains on my fence & patio. His truck left big oil stains on my driveway that he could not get up. I hired this guy on the strength of his sister's word. I knew her casually & we talked about our homes a lot. I said I may need a contractor because I was considering going into a condo. She immediately told me that her brother was a "licensed contractor". She gave me glowing reports of the "great work" & many projects he completed. He had also done a number of projects in her home. When I called her to tell her about the problems I was having with her brother, she immediately cut me off. She said "oh no, I don't get into any of Greg's work affairs". A reasonable response would have been to at least listen & then get her brother's side, especially since she connected us together. On 9/25/20, when Greg came for his tools, he had the audacity to say that we needed to"settle up" on his bill. I told him I don't pay for incomplete work. I have to hire a contractor to fix & complete the mess he made. He said that 75 per cent of the job was done. He should have completed the job. This story is no exaggeration. I have 4 weeks of pictures & video of this fiasco. One contractor won't touch the job because he can't guarantee all of the work. Another contractor told me he would have to tear out the shower floor because of the lack of pitch & flaws. This experience was a nightmare thanks to Greg Scott's Contracting Service of Hatboro, Pa. So please take your time to research these contractors & companies. Save yourself a lot of time, money & stress. You'll be thankful you did. -

Think twice! Sloppy work and when I expressed my dissatisfaction he became disgruntled and labeled me a complainer (slopping painting, did not clean-up after work, did a roof and left behind the empty cans for me to dispose of. Very unhappy with roof work June 2019- it started leaking after 5 months, then he dragged out coming to repair it in January 20 - it did not work and continued to leak. Now it;'s July 20 and I am met with excuses although I notified him in March 20 when roof began leaking again. Now $$3300 later he has yet to make good on his "guarantee". Scott wants top dollar for shoddy work.
