Richard A. Shaver
Owner
We hired Richard Shaver to do a half bath remodel. He told us it would be a two day job. The morning of day four we found water all over the floor and inside the vanity cabinet. Upon investigating we found the water line connector in a small bucket full of water. The valve did not tighten down enough to completely shut the water off, and the water had overflowed the bucket over night. The vanity was soaked, and had begun to swell. When Richard arrived just before noon, and we showed him what had happened, he asked if we wanted the valve replaced. When I said yes, and the vanity will also have to be replaced he said, "well since it is my fault, I guess you want me to pay for it. In that case I am done, you can get somebody else to finish". He walked off the job leaving us with a mess. Not only is my bath not finished, he cut all the tile with a grinder inside the house and everything in the house is covered with dust. He left a mess in the garage area where the wood was sawed. Also left us with the old sink, vanity, and commode! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HANDYMAN!!!
