  Absolutely awful! I am having garbage disposal issues and my warranty company assigns me Smitty's as the plumber. I finally get ahold of him on Monday to schedule an appointment. On the phone he demands we pay the $45 fee in cash after I ask if I can write him a check. We schedule a time for Tuesday between 9am and 11am.

  Tuesday comes but he doesn't so I call around 11:30am asking what his ETA is. He tells me he remembers me but he's not coming till he gets paid. I am incredibly confused since he hasn't even come yet. He gets aggressive over the phone and says the warranty company hasn't paid him in three months. After I ask why he even scheduled me and why he didn't let me know he wasn't coming he yells in my ear that he wants his money and he wants it now, and then hangs up. How am I supposed to know his payment history with the warranty company? I call BS. Avoid this shady business at all costs, and check out his other dismal reviews on Yelp and Google.

  This company was haired through our home warranty company tfor a plumbing job. I called days prior to initially confirm the appointment., Saturday 7~11am location King George, VA.
  On the day of at 10 am I called again to find our the ETA, he said he was getting ready to leave but there would be traffic and of course wouldn’t be at my home by 11. We were expected to hang around all day Saturday until he decided to come to the appointment. When we told him that was unacceptable he became rude and hung up on us.
  Their website has glowing reviews how ever look at Yelp and other reviews sites. They all say the same story. He doesn’t show up and is rude and unprofessional. Save yourself the headache and aggravation and hire someone that actually wants to work.

  My experience with Smittys was consistent with that of the others listed previously. In a nutshell: unreliable. Smitty's had a window of 0700-1100 to show up and never did. No call to advise me of running late. This tells me all I need to know about the business and will not do any work with them now or in the future. There is no need to stay away from Smittys as the service technician will never show! However, you do waste time and gain aggravation.

  Water heater

  Look if you really need a plumber and there's nobody else to do the job than this Smittys Services guy, then don't even try to give him the job because he's not going to show up. If he shows up, he's obviously going to take your money and vanish! My home warranty company assigned him a job on my water heater, he shows up very late beyond the 11am-3pm appointment window. He came in less than 5 minutes asking me questions and told me he needs to call the warranty company and collected my service fee. He steps out and comes back less than 2 minutes that he'd come back next day to fix the issue but never showed up. I finally managed to get another appointment he scheduled with me for 9am! This lazy, unprofessional, lackadaisical, so-called technician didn't show up and refused to pick my calls at least to be courteous enough to update me! Worst part is me calling off from work on both days and he not showing up! I wish there was a rating lower than 1...don't welcome Smitty's Services anywhere...even if your warranty company sends him, call to change, because he won't show up!

  Horrible!! I definitely would not recommend. He never showed up or called to give an explanation. I won’t recommend this individual. Horrible customer service! I wish we could give 0*

  The most unreliable plumber was scheduled to come to our house twice and did not show up either time. Both time he called to say he was on his way and never showed. We will never contact this company under any circumstance - especially in a plumbing emergency. Worst of the worst.

  Rude. Had a time of 11-3. Never updated when he didn’t show up by 3. When I called, he offered to reschedule for another 4 hour window where he may not even show up again then hung up on me. Terrible customer service and made a formal complaint to my home warranty company.
