Neil and Singh were contracted to tear down my deck and build a new one. Work was stop and go for weeks accomplishing little. I had to request they remove the debris from the tear down that they left piled on all my plants. When the framework was started, it was not level in many areas, beams were not measuring the same width from one end to the other. The posts were crooked and placed in a pile of poor quality cement rather than in a form like my previous deck that lasted 40 years. The work was profoundly shoddy. I requested they redo it all to code and for safety. Meanwhile, Neil continuously altered the contract, charging more each time. He also wanted me to buy all the supplies upfront which was not in the contract. What little work that was done was not corrected appropriately to pass code. I lost $2500 on this. I had to hire another contractor to tear down what Star's work and start over again. The new contractor was outstanding and built everything to code. Do not use Star Construction. disreputable and shoddy workers.
