Steve Zomerfeld WAS our contractor until Feb 20, 2013. He left the build site of our new construction shortly before Thanksgiving 2012. He was SUPPOSED to finish the second story & put roof on the following weekend. Nothing was finished as promised. For the next two months Steve showed up at our build site to take tools & trailer to OTHER jobs. From late Nov 2012-Jan 22, 2013 Steve Zomerfeld would NOT respond to any of our phone calls, voice mails or text messages. On Jan 22, 2013 he left us a voice mail saying he had the flu & that he would be back working on our build soon. On Feb 20, 2013 he finally showed at our property! He showed up to remove his trailer, tools & signage. He also had Holt Lumber from Carbondale pick up our materials package so they could issue Steve a credit on materials that were purchased with our money! Steve even stole our new garbage can & two jack stands we had at property. We believe Steve spent the remainder of our building funds as he has returned NO MONEY to us. Our build is at a stand still. We can't even have another builder finish because Steve returned our materials. BEWARE of ZOMERFELD CONSTUCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE REQUIRED TO GIVE 1 STAR BECAUSE SITE WON'T ALLOW ME TO POST WITHOUT AT LEAST 1 STAR. A STAR UNDESERVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THIS CONTRACTOR CAN'T HANDLE A NEW BUILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Biggest p.o.s. con artist . He took me for over 20,000 dollars and I'm still dealing with the aftermath of him using my information to make fake charge accounts with landfills and whatnot, so ya I have to deal with his bills coming to my home and calling companies telling them he has nothing to do with my house hold along with affecting my credit! Word of advice if u r a civil human being, don't have anything to do with zomerfelds.
