I hired Steve's "Quality" Painting, Salem, Oregon to paint my house.
Steve didn't seem to care about the job. He sent workers who didn't do the prep work promised then they threw on one coat while I was at work. I asked them to go back and fix a few areas. Was met with excuses and complaining. I was left with tons of places where the body paint didn't cover and chipping paint due to the lack of prep. Steve rushed his guys and didn't keep track of them.
I asked Steve to take off $35 from my bill so I could buy a gallon of paint to touch up my house and he got angry, saying the house was "fine." Thus, his idea of "quality" is crap.
I really tried to work with him but got nowhere. I settled to get him out of my life. He is in way over his head.
He still made a nice profit from my calculations but he complained about under bidding the job. I gave him two opportunities to walk away but he wouldn't have it.
