I would not recommend T ALTMIRE CONTRACTING. My experience with T Altmeyer Contracting has been VERY stressful an unprofessional. No-shows for weeks at a time. It took his company a year-and-a-half to putty and sand a wall. Every time I was left with the mess to clean myself except one day they came with a Shop-Vac when I complained about it. It has been 3 years and there remains many things that have not been completed or not done to code. The wiring is incomplete in the garage and no outside lights were installed at any of the exits, which was told to me, by the building inspector, does NOT meet code. The installation of the French Door exit to my basement, was never completely installed. I have made numerous phone calls to Travis to have this completed. I had a conversation with him last September and he told me he would come and finish it and I have not heard a word from him since. Because he never completed the installation the door is ruined and has to be replaced. That alone will cost me over $3,000. When I asked him to complete the wiring and the lights he told me he was not going to do anything about any of that. These are things that I already paid him for. The enclosed porch is not permitted nor is it safe. Again I was told by the inspector it is not properly installed. I am handicapped and walk with a cane, the stairs onto the front porch and into the house from the garage, were too high and when I told Travis numerous times that I couldn't get into my home without physically PULLING myself up the stairs, his response was, "they are code." Maybe for him they're code but not for a 5-foot tall 70 year old, handicapped woman. That is the very top of the code. The code doesn't say that steps have to be 8 inches tall. I had to pay out of pocket, again, hundreds of dollars to replace both sets of steps so that I could walk up the stairs without a struggle into my own home. It was pointed out to me, various short cuts that he took. The firewall in the garage is not code either. I made a move here to this home to get out of a stressful situation. Unfortunately I have been nothing but stressful here.
