I hired this contractor to put in a basement foundation and to oversee the other aspects of construcing my cabin. Shane seems like a nice guy and he took my project on "as a favor to me" but his overall performance was not favorable. Shane continuously missed promised deadlines, overstated his abilities and the actual quality of his work was very much sub par. He lives and breathes by his "contract" which was not presented to me until weeks after he had asked for and accepted his payment in full. He then raised his "continuation" fees to almost double his original estimate, despite the costs of materials actually going DOWN. When asked for a detail of the cost increase reasons he simply bullied us by saying if we needed a detail he would just raide the price even further. Shane also used my Bobcat for over 50 hours saying it "would save me money" over him having to bring his own equipment, but if you read the previous sentance he actually charged me more. His walls were out of square and he did not place the anchor bolts per the plan but had the gaul to charge me extra AGAIN to come out and fix the anchor bolts. In the early stages I reffered him to a freinds job that he started but has still not finished - leaving a huge excavated hole in her backyard posing a hazzard for her little ones. I would not reccomend this contractor.
