Tarragon Homes LLC
Home building is our passion! The mix of creativity and detail-oriented focus required to bring the dreams of others to reality demands commitment and dedication. The art of combining underdeveloped land, raw materials of wood, stone, metal and glass to create a structure that will stand the test of time and translate the vision that birthed its design is our number one priority.
From the first sketch to the final walk through, personal service and individual attention is the foundation of our company. We deliver custom crafted homes built around the lives and personalities of those who will live in them and into environments that will receive them. Homes constructed to withstand the forces of time and changing trends.
The Tarragon Homes team has been working in central Texas for over a decade, building and remodeling a variety of luxury homes. From contemporary to ranch to traditional; from 900 square feet to 9,000. We believe that custom is in the eye of the beholder; we don’t talk in terms of cost per square foot or minimum size, rather we focus on the desires and lifestyle needs of our clients. We want to work with you to design the perfect home you envision: The size, style and budget… a home custom crafted for you.

I hired Chris Wood who is the owner of Tarragon Homes to build two projects for me on the east side of downtown Austin after I received a recommendation from my architect. Bottom line is Chris does not pay his subcontractors when payment is due so his subcontractors consistently do not show up on the job site to perform their trade. I ran into the same situation with material vendors as well. I have received to date, 3 lien notices on my two properties from vendors due to non payment. These are payments that Chris had told me he made. I ended up firing him and taking over the projects myself 8 months after construction commenced which was during FRAMING on both projects. I am not the only client this was happening to either. I had 2 different people Chris was building homes for at the time somehow find out I was a client of his and told me their similar stories.

DO NOT USE THIS GUY. I hired Chris Wood and Tarragon Homes to build a project for me in 2019. The project he promised would take 9 months ended out taking 3 years. At a very minimum, Chris and Tarragon Homes has some suspicious billing practices. He does not pay is subcontractors or vendors on time. Chris used money I paid him to pay for other jobs. Flat out dishonest. DO NOT USE THIS GUY!
