SCAM SCAM SCAM They took me for over $41,000. Dug a hole in my yard, added the rebar and some plumbing, then claimed they can't finish the job after stringing me along for 2 months. I hoped I was wrong and finally admitted to myself.. I had been had. Stay away and steer clear of this scam artist!

My husband and I had an contract with Frank R. Hernandez, owner/contractor for Texas Pools Oasis and want anyone who considers doing business with him to ask yourself if you are willing to give away your money for a wreck in return. Not only did he fail to uphold the details of our agreement, he caused extensive damage to our property and compromised the safety of our family. He took advantage of my husband who is a veteran, promising to fix any of the issues that they caused and requiring my husbands assistance/supervision and expertise to alleviate issues that they caused. The workers were offensive and were very disrespectful, leaving trash and loitering about the property dressed inappropriately. We have two small kids and do not appreciate the trash and filth that was left the entire time that the workers were here. At the beginning of November 2020, we signed our agreement, provided the first payment to get the project started, and was told we would be swimming by Christmas. We were able to use our pool in July 2021, thanks to another well known and reliable pool company. The company that saved our pool assessed the work that still needed to be completed and found the amount of work and rework to make the pool usable to be just over $29,000. We paid the owner for 95% of the work and only had 5% remaining when he refused to complete the job. The amount that we owed him was less than $4,500 and the amount of work that he still needed to do was far beyond that. He stole our money, did not bring the equipment that we had already purchased (we had to buy the equipment from the company that saved the pool), almost caused a fire due to the incorrect work that his workers did, and stole the extra tile and stone that we paid for. The work was done out of sequence, our pool project was neglected (we had over 5 cave ins) and the work unsupervised most of the time which was the complete opposite of what he had promised us. He made promises to my neighbor concerning the shared side yard between our houses and denied making those concessions. In addition, because he failed to supervise his workers, my neighbor's side of the yard between us was torn up and full of concrete waste and trash. Despite our complaining about the crew not cleaning up after themselves and causing a hazard for our family and my neighbor's family, the owner did not clean up anything. In fact, the workers were more sloppy and trashy. The owner also took advantage of my parents who allowed him to dump the excavated pool dirt on their vacant lot less than 2 miles from our home in order to prevent the owner's subcontracted crew from driving 16.9 miles to the dump site that he was going to use. They had to make 5 trips to my parent's lot. The only condition that my parents had for him using their lot to dump the dirt from my backyard was that he would spread the dirt out when he smoothed my yard in preparation for sod. The owner took full advantage of my parents as well by dumping another pool excavation on their lot and denied that he promised them that he would spread the dirt when he leveled my yard. My father, who is also a veteran and fighting cancer, had to pay over $800 to have the dirt spread out like it was supposed to have been done and to fill in the huge ruts that they left on their lot. I have surveillance cameras and photographs as proof for anyone who would like to review the kind of work that you will receive if you choose the owner of Texas Pools Oasis to do any kind of work for you. I did not want to believe that there were people who would willingly take advantage of others and those who could not help themselves. This owner is extremely dishonest and manipulative. We are doing everything we can to make sure this won't happen to another family. We are doing everything we can to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else and hopefully to regain some of the money that was stolen from our family. Even if we are not able to get back any of the money we lost, he will have to live with his conscience knowing that he took money for items he did not deliver and services he did not complete. I hope this review will help others to avoid this situation by not engaging in any agreements with him and his company. I hope what he has done wrong to others will come back on him ten fold.
