The Lawnboyz
I found the firm to be very unprofessional and the owner, Mr. Donald L. Rotkiske, a very rude and unreliable man.
I contracted with Mr. Donald L. Rotkiske, owner, for Lawn care, Trimming of bushes, Mulching and removal of 4 large plants. The total price asked by the firm was $2,240.
I requested for the above to be done for $2,000. The firm agreed to the price if I paid cash. I agreed to pay cash and the firm issued a receipt for the amount of $2,000.
As requested by the firm, I paid an advance of $1,000 for the following jobs:
$700 For Mulch
$200 For One time Cutting/Trimming
$100 For removal of four plants along with their roots.
The firm reps came in one day and finished most of the work, except for removal of stumps of two plants, and the spreading of mulch (after the removal of the stumps).
I tried to contact the firm on phone, but there was no response. I emailed them and got a very unprofessional reply. Finally on May 28, I emailed them to complete the remaining work for which they had already been paid. I gave them 10 days time to respond (with a convenient date to complete my work) or refund an amount of $100 (cost of getting a new firm to complete their unfinished job). It has been over 10 days and the firm has not responded.
