    $46,000

    Avoid at all costs. Massis Farhadnejad made big promises to get the job, but once hired, the work was sloppy and highly unprofessional. His workers rarely showed up on time, and when they did, there was little to no supervision. Massis hardly ever inspected their work, and they consistently cut corners. I had to repeatedly point out that tasks were done incorrectly, some were missed entirely, and others were completed improperly.

    He built a patio cover that was structurally unsafe, it sagged and had to be redone. Instead of taking accountability, he was upset that correcting his own mistake would cost him more. His own workers later told me they hadn't been paid and even came to me directly asking for money.

    I repeatedly asked for a breakdown of costs, but he refused every time. After ongoing issues, I told him to stop and asked him to complete only the portion of work covered by the $46K I had already paid. He never completed that work and walked off the job. Shockingly, he had the nerve to demand the remaining balance, claiming he would finish everything, something I could no longer trust given his track record.

    He clearly overcharged me and has not refunded any of the money I rightfully requested back. This was an incredibly frustrating, costly, and unethical experience.
